Newcastle Finals Change -
Due to a UPT stuff up, the Final will be held Saturday September 4th at Halekulani Bowls starting 2pm.Please register by 1pm.
Same format as last time but Prize money is expected to increase. We expect to pay down as far as 30th place. Final details will be given on the day.
Please ask your TD to see if you qualified.
UPT Flights Announced -
UPT have announced their flights for this Seasons $40k Final.
These will be held at -
Belmont Bowls on October 3rd (Grand Final Day will finish 5pm)

Rule Changes -
To bring us in line with Poker Tournaments we are now associated with, the following rule changes will take effect -
1. Players betting out of turn. Any player who bets out of turn can only raise to a maximum of double the big blind when it comes to his
turn.
(before verbal bets meant nothing and physical bets stayed)
2. If big blind is smaller stacked
than what he has to bet
the correct amount for the big blind - the first bet after him must be
the original correct big blind level.(before - whatever the larger of the blinds was the minimum
bet for the first round, then back to full blind after that)
3. If a dealer turns over the card that should be dealt to
him on the first round of dealing, the flipped over card becomes the burnt card
(as normal) however the next card is dealt to himself rather than the small
blind (as would happen before). This stops the dealer being dealt the last two
cards to come out in a row).
Also a reminder players must leave the cards alone once they are mucker - they must stay in the middle.
Rabbit hunting is especially prohibited.
Chip Sale -
Yes our new chips have arrived and are in full operation. We are selling the old one for $30 for a tub of around 500 chips. This 1/3 the cost of new ones and will come with a card cutter and dealer button as well. Most will have a deck of cards while they last. There are fourteen sets only.
Ask your operator for details.
